From trying a sport for the first time to competing in a national prep championship, athletics at CH-CH are for both new and seasoned athletes.
Let's Go Chargers!
The best part about sports at CH-CH is that they’re open to both seasoned and new athletes. We’re willing to teach the sport and make sure an athlete has the opportunity to be a member of whatever team they choose. This is a school where everyone is a member of the team.
We offer a wide selection of competitive team sports as well as non-competitive sports and activities. Our JV level programs focus on participation, skill development, and the opportunity to gain new experiences. The varsity-level programs will focus more on skill development, competition, and the pursuit of excellence.
Because our athletics and activities program is so vital to the CH-CH experience, families often have specific questions about league affiliation, student participation, and other aspects of the program. Please contact our Athletic Director, Lori White at 781-314-0850 or lwhite@chch.org with any programmatic questions.
Coach Lizzy Rosen has been named the 2026 New England Eastern Coach of the Year by USA Lacrosse. She is a coach who builds an environment where athletes can grow as competitors and teammates, but most importantly an environment where every player feels like they belong. “Sports didn't always come naturally for me, so I know firsthand how important it is to have the right support in place.” - Coach Rosen
Coach Rosen’s commitment to individual and team development has led the Chargers to finish the past two seasons with an overall 17-5 record. The team went 9-2 in the 2026 season, finishing #1 in the Class D NEPSAC rankings.
In reflecting over these recent successes, Coach Rosen notes, “Over the last two seasons, I have never coached a group of players more dedicated to finding success, not just as a team, but within themselves as well. They have championed each other, held each other accountable, and have created a culture that celebrates not just the wins, but individual successes as well. Seeing the transformation of this team has been incredible to both watch and be a part of.”
“Lizzy has been an incredible coach and friend to work alongside over the past several years. She has transformed the girls lacrosse program at CHCH, elevating both its culture and its record. Her dedication, leadership, and commitment to her athletes makes her exceptionally deserving of this incredible honor.” - Asst. Coach Chloe Henderson
Coach Rosen has coached lacrosse at CHCH since 2017 and previously at Camp All-Star Maine and Sandy Springs Friends School. In addition to coaching lacrosse, she has previously coached field hockey at Newton North High School and cheerleading at Roger Williams University.
Congratulations to Adam P. (‘26) on being named the 2026 Massachusetts Bay Independent League Baseball MVP! In addition to his exceptional field play, Adam hit .694 at the plate with a .790 on base percentage. He helped lead the Chargers to their first MBIL championship in school history.
“No matter the situation, our team could always rely on Adam. He was our rock at the plate, on the field and on the bench. He knew that one good inning at the plate could turn a whole game around. His ability to wipe away the past and lead his teammates forward is a unique quality in young men and it shined this season”. - Coach Scheim
Congratulations to Romeo M. (‘26) on being named the 2026 Massachusetts Bay Independent League Boys' Lacrosse MVP! Throughout the season Romeo made 239 saves and maintained a save percentage of 70.5% in goal. Coach Josh Bubar notes, “Simas is the engine that drives our offense with his ability to get to the paint and score or distribute the basketball, and everyone around him benefits from his gravity as a scorer. As a defender he can guard all five positions, and at 6'5" with good athleticism he provides rim protection in many situations. He is a consummate team player who gives advice to younger teammates, encourages a high level of effort in our group, and approaches practices and games with an invariably positive attitude.”
Congratulations to the Varsity Girls’ and Boys’ Basketball teams on winning the Independent Girls Conference DI Championship and the Massachusetts Bay Independent League DI Championship!
The girls team entered the tournament as the #2 seed eventually taking on the #1 seeded Montrose School on the road for the championship. The team defeated Montrose 53-43 to earn their first IGC DI Championship since 2009! “We’re so proud of the effort our players put into our program throughout the season - we have stressed all year that “little things are what makes big things happen” and it’s nice that we got to see the results of that adage - the “little things” - continuous effort, boxing out, playing hard through each drill, etc. - led to a “big thing” - an IGC league championship season!” - Coach Jacquie Macdonald
The boys also entered the tournament as the #2 seed facing off against #1 seeded Gann Academy in the championship game. Despite having lost the first two match ups versus Gann, the team came out ready and defeated the Heifers 68-57. “We grew as a team throughout the season culminating in a total team effort to win the MBIL Championship” - Coach Josh Bubar. This is the Chargers second championship in three years.
