Winter Musical Donates $3,152 to Local Charity

The drama students of Chapel Hill – Chauncy Hall proved creativity, talent, and generosity were no strangers to one another. For three sold out shows, the winter musical production of Guys and Dolls took center stage with an aim to put smiles on the faces of both curious theatre patrons and young at-risk children in the local community. Having exceeded the forecast of ticket sales for the two evening shows and one matinee, the production raised $3,152 to benefit the Waltham Creative Start Child Center.

Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall students have been preparing for the production for months, and Bekah LaCoste has enjoyed seeing their growth. “It’s really exciting to see the kids on stage, in their glory, having a blast, laughing with each other, dancing their hearts out, singing their hearts out, and acting so well,” said LaCoste.

Waltham Creative Start provides high quality education and family services to a diverse population of children, ages 0 to 5 years, from at-risk families to ensure that their needs are met. This large act of generosity bears witness to our student’s core values as we look forward to our next production in the spring.
