New Additions to the Board of Trustees

Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall is excited to announce that there will be new six new members joining its Board of Trustees, as well as four current members that have been elected to new roles. Made up of current and former parents, friends and former educators, the Board of Trustees is responsible for overseeing both the immediate and long-term success of the Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall School, located in Waltham. The board carries out critical fiduciary, strategic and generative functions for the school.

 

Margaret Allen – Holding numerous degrees, including a PhD from UConn, Margaret began her work at CH-CH in the early 1980s as a part-time College Counselor, then transitioned to a full time teacher of French, English, ESL, English Language, and Psychology.

Carlos Cubia – Carlos is currently the owner and operator of the Allstate Insurance Agency in Newton, MA. He is a graduate of Michigan State University and lives in Newton, MA, with his wife and three children, one of which one is a student at CH-CH, Carlos, Jr. ’18.

Dr. K. Babu Krishnamurthy – Dr. Krishnamurthy is a former engineer and current neurologist, working at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School. She developed and runs an innovative program for women with seizure disorders, focusing on pregnancy planning. Dr. Krishnamurthy, and her husband, Dr. Ram Chavali, are parents to three sons including Prashant ’18.

Suzanne Loonie - Suzanne is a graduate from Wheelock College in Boston with a B.S. in Human Development and Elementary Education. She has taught elementary school, worked as an elementary school reading specialist, and owned her own business working as a private consultant for a direct sales company. Suzanne is also a sophomore class parent representative with the CH-CH Parent Guardian Association and mother of Erin ’17.

Kim Sciacca - Kim Sciacca is currently the franchise owner and operator for several Planet Fitness locations in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. Prior to this venture, Kim spent 18 years in the health care industry as a licensed nursing home administrator and assisted living administrator. Kim and her husband, Rick, currently live in Chestnut Hill, MA, and in San Juan, Puerto Rico. They have two daughters, Alexa ’16 and Isabella ‘18, both of whom currently attend Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall.

B.J. Rudman Named Chair: B.J. recently retired after serving in senior administrative positions in not-for-profit organizations and Massachusetts state government for 37 years. His last professional position was Vice President for Finance and Administration/Chief Financial Officer for YouthBuild USA, a national organization which enables high school dropouts to earn GED’s or high school diplomas while learning construction skills by building low-income housing in their communities. B.J. is the father of Sarah Rudman, who graduated from CH-CH in 2008.

Charlotte Merrell Named Vice Chair: Charlotte is the Executive Vice President, Human Resources for Jack Morton Worldwide, a brand experience agency that helps brands deepen their relationships with their most important audiences. Charlotte’s son, Robby, graduated from CH-CH in 2010 and attends Northeastern University.

Alden Harrington, J.D. Named Treasurer: Alden C. Harrington is an attorney in Providence, Rhode Island whose practice is concentrated in the area of business litigation. He is the son of former trustee Louisa Harrington and was raised in the farmhouse on the north side of the CH-CH campus. He is a graduate of the Belmont Hill School, Harvard College, and the University of Virginia Law School.

Tom Mulvehill Named Clerk: Currently a senior product manager at IBM, Tom Mulvehill is an established application security professional with over twenty-five years of combined product management, product marketing and development experience. Tom’s son Sean '10 and daughter Kim '12 both graduated from CH-CH.
