Welcome from the Editor

Welcome to the 2016 issue of the CH-CH Chronicle. When we set out to create this magazine, our goal was simple: to connect the entire Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall community, including students, parents, friends, faculty, staff, trustees and alumni. Planning for this inaugural issue started in the summer of 2015. Over the past year, a core group of staff were inspired as they worked to source, research, and report on stories that help you feel closer to our campus.

Our theme for this first issue is CONNECTIONS. Throughout the magazine you’ll meet driven students, inspirational alumni and dedicated educators who are connected through their transformational experiences at the School. We are proud to showcase these stories and better connect you to our wonderful, diverse community. We hope to evoke the spirit of CH-CH, past and present. The CH-CH Chronicle is your link to the dynamic people and enriching place our campus is today.

We are appreciative of the support of three professional writers, one of whom is an alumnus. We are indebted to our designers as well: Ari, Annie, and our in-house expert, Matt. Through incredible writing, engaging design, and beautiful photography, our team built the new CH-CH Chronicle through a highly collaborative process.

We Teach the Way Students Learn

Chapel Hill - Chauncy Hall School is a small, coeducational college preparatory school dedicated to teaching the way students learn. Our faculty, over 70% of whom have advanced degrees, offers instruction tailored to individual learning styles and strengths, empowering our students to achieve their potential.
