Paul Dinan, ‘85
Paul Dinan certainly made the most of his one year at CH-CH. Entering as a senior from New Jersey, he quickly became involved with dorm and campus life. With an interest in art that began in early childhood, Paul was inspired by former art department chair Dick Allen to shift his career goals to architecture.
“I’ve been drawing since I was young, and I also enjoy math and engineering. At CH-CH, my interests evolved from commercial art to architecture.” He enrolled in the Boston Architectural Center, undergoing an intensive six-year work-study program to earn a bachelor’s degree in architecture. In the three decades since his CH-CH graduation, Paul has enjoyed a diverse career throughout the Northeast and abroad that has included residential and commercial design as well as interior design and urban planning. His favorite projects include the redesign of Terminal E at Logan Airport and planning for a thirty-five-story building to revitalize the city center of Rotterdam in the Netherlands. Paul looks on his year at CH-CH with much fondness. “The aspect of CH-CH that I most appreciate is that it fostered my independence.”
