Robert Tiwan, ‘12
Reached in Los Angeles, where he is interning at Digital Fusion, a photo-capture company with clients in the film, television, and recording industries, Robert Tiwan ‘12 mused on the impact of his CH-CH arts experience.
“Cindy Ludlam helped nurture my originality. Instead of emulating other artists whose work I admired online, she encouraged me to develop my own style. Together with Alice Solorow, she shifted my focus from making ‘pretty pictures’ to making ones with a conceptual focus. Today, I am drawn to surrealism with its meshing of dreams and reality.” Robert returned to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago as a junior this fall. His goal after graduation is to open his own photography business and to combine his dual major of graphic design and photography into a satisfying career.
