Eugene Reppucci, ‘55

“I had the most incredible teachers.” Over sixty years after his graduation from Chauncy Hall, Medford native Eugene Reppucci ‘55 still remembers each of the educators who influenced him during his senior year. Eugene benefited from the structure of Chauncy Hall as well as its outstanding faculty.
“I can remember those blue check marks that my teachers put on my papers. This was my signal to go for extra help. We corrected everything before we left for the day.” Development and philanthropy were still in their infancy at Northeastern, his alma mater; with a strong desire to “pay it forward,” Eugene joined Northeastern’s development office in 1961. Over a career that spanned thirty-four years, Eugene raised more than $400 million in gifts for the university, rising through the ranks to senior vice president of development before his retirement in 1994. A passion for education and gratitude for the opportunities afforded him continue to inspire Eugene. He served on the Board of Trustees at Chauncy Hall from 1969 through the merger with Chapel Hill in 1971 and beyond, and he remains a generous benefactor of CH-CH. “CH-CH has been faithful to the traditions of Chauncy Hall; it’s a close knit, inclusive community with a structure designed to bring out the best in its students.”
