As a college preparatory school, Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall is committed to a challenging and engaging academic program designed to promote intellectual curiosity, growth, and independence. Our senior capstone activities require all students to write, research, and present significant work in a variety of settings, and our honors and A.P. courses push students in various disciplines to engage in college level material while still in high school. The end result is a senior class with a 100% admission rate to college, and the skills and abilities to succeed once they arrive.
100% of our students are accepted into college or university.
The goal of our College Counseling Program at Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall is to help students find the right college “match," where the student will learn effectively, enjoy and contribute to their next community, as well as reach his or her full potential. The key goals of the College Counseling Program are to ensure that students are armed with the requisite knowledge to make good decisions and submit applications that are both professional in quality and true reflections of each student’s unique personality, character, and ability. One great measure of success is that 75% of our seniors are accepted to either their first or second choice college.
Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall offers the opportunity for separate honors level and Advanced Placement (A.P.) work in Science, History, Math, English, and Visual Arts. In addition, for students who are dedicated to study in particular areas, we offer Certificate of Distinction programs in the humanities, math/science, and the visual arts. Finally, our elective-based senior program offers challenging courses across all disciplines, with significant writing and research requirements in each class.
