Smith Named MBIL DII Basketball MVP

Congratulations to Cameron Smith ‘20 on being named the 2018 Boys’ Basketball DII Co-MVP of the Massachusetts Bay Independent League. In his first year playing for the Chargers, Cameron earned this honor through significant contributions on both ends of the floor. He was the first Charger in over fifteen years to average over twenty points per game, checking in at 21.3 ppg on the season. On the defensive end, his effort and quickness created multiple turnovers and keyed our full-court pressure efforts.

Coach Josh Bubar notes that, “Cameron was a strong leader whose effort on the floor served as an example for his teammates.” Cameron’s contributions, both athletically and as a leader, helped lead the Chargers to win the Massachusetts Bay Independent League DII Championship for the first time since the Chargers joined the league in 2010.

Congratulations, Cameron!
