Technology at CH-CH

Our mission is to strengthen and support progressive teaching and learning through the use of technology that will serve as a vehicle to enhance the learning process at Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall under three core principles:

Being a 1:1 iPad school allows teachers to reinvent, rearrange, and remodel the way information is being presented to better fit within the MI/DI framework.

The use of technology provides numerous ways to expand the traditional classroom space by providing students and teachers a portal through which they can make learning a social endeavor and access an ever expanding repository of information.

The available technology affords students the opportunity to demonstrate in a multitude of ways what they have learned during their academic, extracurricular, and social experiences at CH-CH.

Student-Led Tech Help Desk

The Tech Help Desk provides an excellent leadership opportunity for students seeking an outlet for their computer savvy. With the mission of troubleshooting real-life technology issues all across campus, these students play a major role in raising digital literacy of the entire CH-CH community.

Choose Your Own Device Program for Faculty

Gone are the days of a “one size fits all” approach to technology. With the number of exceptional devices, programs, and apps geared toward education growing by the day,  we have empowered our faculty through choice. Every teacher at CH-CH is able to decide which device best fits their curriculum, allowing them to realize their full pedagogical potential.

Robotics Team

Imagine. Tinker. Create. During the winter trimester, CH-CH offers a technology-centered co-curricular activity for students interested in robotics, electronics, or coding that focuses on experiential and project-based learning.

The Khalsa Center

The Khalsa Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning transforms the learning landscape through co-teaching, individual instruction, and group workshops that all aim to further integrate technology across every facet of student life on campus. Equipped with technology that includes a MakerBot 3D printer and computer workstations, The Khalsa Center is the manifestation of CH-CH’s commitment to cultivating 21st century thinking and learning throughout our entire community.
