How to Apply

Fill out the Pre-Visit Form or contact the admissions office by phone or email to request a viewbook and an application.
Schedule a Campus Tour and Interview
We encourage prospective families to schedule an appointment for a campus tour and interview.  These visits are scheduled Monday-Friday during the academic day, which gives you the opportunity to meet with students and teachers, and see classes in session.  The interview is a requirement of the application process and needs to be completed by the application deadline of February 1.

Open Houses
Join us for one of our fall Open Houses!  This fall, we are hosting open houses on October 22nd and November 5th at 1pm (Registration begins at 12:30). In the spring of 2018, we will host an open house on April 29th. These programs offer visiting students a unique, genuine perspective of what it's like to learn and participate in CH-CH's dynamic community, and parents will gain an understanding of how we teach the way students learn through discussions with faculty members, department leaders, and current CH-CH parents.
The Application
Apply online (click here) or you can download a PDF version of our application on this page. Please make sure that the required teacher recommendations are from your current teachers. We also accept the SSAT online application, available at the SSAT website or the TABS Common Application, available at the TABS website.
All domestic applicants are required to take the SSAT (Secondary School Assessment Test) or submit recent (within the last three years) educational testing.  Students can register for the SSAT online at and must request that scores are sent directly to CH-CH (school code 2278).  CH-CH is also an SSAT test site.  International applicants are required to submit an official TOEFL score report.  All test scores must be submitted by the application deadline of February 1.

Shadow Days
Shadow days are a great opportunity for students to experience first-hand what our dynamic classroom setting is like.  While shadow days are not an application requirement, we encourage all applicants to spend the academic day here with a current student.  We typically schedule a shadow day after the interview has been complete.  For more information please contact the admissions office.
