Murdock Named IGC Softball MVP for Second Year

Congratulations to Makayla Murdock (‘20) on being named the Independent Girls Conference Softball MVP for the second consecutive year. Makayla batted .550 on the season, all while pitching every game for the Chargers, completing the season with a 12-0 record and amassing 109 strike-outs this spring. She was dominant from the mound all season, even recording a no-hitter, while making her way to an undefeated record.

Coach MacDonald notes that, “Makayla is a hard throwing pitcher and a talented softball player who at any position could change the outcome of the game. She’s also emerged as a leader on our team, helping teach our newer players the ins and outs of the game. Makayla is a dedicated softball player whose talent is clear to anyone who watches her play.”

Congratulations, Makayla!
