Ian MacPhail Named USA Lacrosse Coach of the Year

Coach Ian MacPhail has been named the 2022 Coach of the Year by USA Lacrosse, and it’s easy to see why. His enthusiasm and passion for the sport of lacrosse and teaching athletes is evident the moment you meet him. This enthusiasm and passion helped lead the Chargers to win the 2022 Massachusetts Bay Independent League Boys Lacrosse Championship. Coach MacPhail’s ability to motivate athletes, allowing them to see their full potential both on and off the field, has created a team in the truest sense. His practices are fun, yet challenging, and a place where athletes are excited to be.

In addition to coaching lacrosse, he has previously assisted the varsity boys’ soccer team, varsity girls’ basketball team and the JV volleyball team at CH-CH. Coach MacPhail has previously coached at The Winchendon School, Arlington High School, and Concord Academy. He played four years of varsity lacrosse at Guilford College. Coach MacPhail also led the Chargers to the first Boys Lacrosse Massachusetts Bay Independent League Championship in school history in 2018. In addition to coaching at CH-CH, he coaches the Penguins Lacrosse Team and PrimeTime Elite Lacrosse Camps.

Congratulations, Coach MacPhail!
