CH-CH Introduces New Logo

On Thursday, December 3rd, Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall revealed a new school logo to their community.

When Chapel Hill and Chauncy Hall merged in 1971, the Board of Trustees adopted a new logo to signify the joining of two schools into one. They designed the locking “CH’s” that has become familiar over the years. This school seal and logo has been the symbol for who CH-CH is for the last 44 years, but CH-CH is no longer two schools joined together; it is assuredly one school, Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall, and needed a new visual identity to demonstrate this.

With its classic yet modern look, the new logo honors our 187 years of history while emphasizing that we are now one school and one community.  Today CH-CH is a small, coeducational college preparatory school dedicated to teaching the way students learn.  Our multiple intelligences approach to teaching and learning both values and addresses the different ways students learn.

The logo was revealed to the on-campus community during assembly, where each student and faculty member received a shirt bearing the new visual identity.

“I really like the sleek new design,” said Kyle Gomes ’17. “I think it looks modern and friendly, and it fits who we are.”

In his address to the school, Head of School, Dr. Conrad added, “I hope that when you see the new logo, it reminds you of the power of our history, as well as the strength of our one community moving forward.”
