Advisor & Grade Level Programs

Meet Your Team

Every student at CH-CH has a team dedicated to their success:

  • During weekly meetings with advisors, students build life-skills while keeping on-track with academic progress.
  • During grade-level weekly meetings, each grade gathers to connect and discuss topics relevant to their grade.
  • A school counselor is available whenever a student needs to talk.

Advisor Groups

Each student at CH-CH is a member of an advisory group. This group consists of four to six students and one faculty advisor, who meet weekly. During these meetings, students will:
  • Develop a rapport with their advisor who is sensitive to their concerns and values
  • Review academic progress notes to keep on track with their studies
  • Define their academic goals and develop plans to achieve them
  • Learn about school resources and community activities and events
  • Develop the skills they need to advocate successfully for themselves with teachers and peers
In partnerships with teachers, administrators and parents, advisors help students develop the informed and confident mindset they need to flourish today and tomorrow.

Grade Level Program

9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th graders are all at different stages in their lives, with different needs, goals, and aspirations. With that in mind, we support students’ ongoing growth and achievement with teams of teachers specific to that grade with a curriculum focused on a theme.

Programming by Grade

List of 5 items.

  • 9th Grade Program

Students are given the tools to successfully transition from middle to high school. Throughout the year, students and advisors work together towards a greater understanding of empathy, emotional intelligence, friendship, digital citizenship, and stress management. There is also plenty of time for fun and camaraderie!
  • 10th Grade Program

In the 10th grade, the program focus shifts to helping students mature as confident, independent individuals who are more aware of their place in a larger community.  Along with further strengthening their academic skills, the 10th grade program emphasizes working with others, both on and off campus.
  • 11th Grade Program

For the 11th grade, the increased academic demands and responsibilities are counterbalanced with a program that offers opportunities for students to take leadership roles in a number of areas in and outside of the school.  Activities are designed to help them apply their enthusiasm and creativity to make a difference in the larger community.
  • 12th Grade Program

The 12th-grade program emphasizes mastery and transition. Students’ aptitudes as independent scholars and innovative thinkers are nourished through electives and projects, and their successful transformation from 12th graders in high school to first years in college is nurtured by guided preparation for that next step.
  • Postgraduate Program

Postgraduate students follow a program specifically designed to bridge the gap between high school and college academics. The postgraduate year has two major goals: help students gain admission to a college that matches their interests and strengths and ensure that students are prepared for the rigors of college life.
