What I’m Passionate About: I’m super passionate about helping people identify what their “smart” is. I work closely with the 9th grade in my mentoring program. I meet with a freshman advisory every Friday during office hours and we go over a variety of topics but this is one I really focus on.
Why I chose CH-CH: I chose Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall for many reasons. The Skills and Academic Support program and small class sizes really stood out to me. The legacy I hope to leave behind is to show students that failure is OK. Yes, I just said that. My mentality is that you aren’t going to really feel the success if you don’t know what it’s like to fail. Every student is smart in their own way. That has been something I’ve known in my head since 9th grade but didn’t actually start believing it until 11th grade!
