Science and Math Books Donated to Morgan Library

A donation of math and science reference books and software to the Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall School library all began with a conversation between parent Janet Taylor and CH-CH librarian Paula Buerger.

While talking with Ms. Buerger, Taylor saw an opportunity to help expand the library’s book collection. “My husband [Daniel Zwillinger] is an editor for several Math reference publishing companies, and I saw an opportunity to donate state of the art math and science industry publications,” said Taylor.

Shortly after, the donation of books and interactive software arrived, two of which were written by Zwillinger. This new collection will be used to enhance the math curriculum at CH-CH, while giving students the ability to take their learning even further.

“These books are a great addition to our library,” said Buerger. “These are all books that you would find in the best college libraries.”

In addition to the books, Taylor also honored others with her donation. Each book is inscribed with a dedication to a member of the CH-CH community, including teachers who have had a memorable impact with her son. Taylor hopes that this collection will continue to grow with more donations in the future.
