Community Service

Diego S.

I spent my time packaging food and handing out meals, it was stressful at times but I made it through ok. Though my community service hours are over, I plan to return to help out.

In Service to Others

In its mission, Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall, “challenges young people to realize their individual potential, experience academic success, and develop moral strength and personal integrity.” Part of this work involves helping students experience and learn from the world beyond the boundaries of our 42-acre campus. Sometimes, this comes in the form of a field trip, a Spring Session activity, or perhaps an athletic contest, but some of the most valuable lessons happen when students engage in service to others.

All students at CH-CH complete a specified number of hours of service each year, and have served locally at Creative Start Daycare, Drumlin Farms, the Cambridge Center of Chinese Culture, Lovelane Special Needs Horseback Riding Program, and Centre Street Food Pantry, to name a few. Other students have gone further afield giving their time to organizations in New Hampshire, Tennessee, Louisiana, China, and Vietnam.

A few of the organizations where CH-CH students have completed their community service are:
