Golf loses season opener

David Bryant
The golf team lost their first match of the season, falling 0-6 ot Bancroft school. The match was held at a beautiful new venue, the International in Bolton, where ideal weather and pristine conditions on an outstanding course made the loss a bit easier to bear. The Chargers were led by senior captain and number one golfer Nate Friedman, who shot a 49 on this difficult course. Freshman (perhaps too soon to say sensation, though it is tempting) Peter Loar played from the number two position in place of sophomore Patrick Borque, and shot a very respectable 52. Junior Peter Wang, sophomores Tim Noonan and Will Fitzgerald, and freshman Michael Collins rounded out the squad. Alas, the Charger six is no longer undefeated, but we look forward to  the very real possibility of a victory against Brimmer and May next week.
