Cameron Smith Joins 1,000 Point Club

Cameron Smith (‘20) became one of the elite top scorers at Chapel Hill - Chauncy Hall School on Tuesday when he shot his 1,000 career point from behind the arc with only 30 seconds left in the game. Smith is averaging just over 24 ppg this year and reached 1000 points in only his 47th game in a Charger uniform. He scored 29 points in Tuesday’s game, including going 16 for 18 from the free throw line in a hard fought, physical game.

Coach Bubar states that, “Cam’s ability to score in multiple ways… in transition, at the rim, from the free throw line, and from behind the three point arc… is outstanding, and his year to year improvement has been very good. He is also a leader on the defensive side of the ball, and his overall effort and will to win helps propel his teammates and team on a nightly basis.”

Smith joins Kyla Wesley ('09) and Josh Smith (‘10) as the only 1,000 point scorers in CH-CH history.

Congratulations, Cam!
