Playing without their four "bigs", the Chargers fell short of EIL foe Bancroft 66-45 on Friday night. Early in the second half the Chargers put on a strong half court defense that reduced a 22 point deficit to eight. With junior co-captain Taylor Graham on the sidelines with an ankle injury, Bancroft focused on shurtting down Josh Smith. He was still able to lead the Chargers in scoring with 14 points. Senior Kyung Tae Bae and sophomore Aaron Haynes each chipped in with 9 points. Senior Erskine Hinds played strong defense and contributed 6 points. Newcomers to the varsity, Min Soo Cho and Taquon Jones, each had four points. The Chargers hope to fill a hole in their schedule with a game later this week.
