Golf Team Blown Away

Playing in 40 mile an hour gusts at the tail end of a Nor'Easter on Friday, the CHCH golf team lost to Pingree 0-6 at the legendary Myopia Hunt Club in Hamilton Friday afternoon. Even without wind, the course is know for it's difficulty (it hosted the US Open four times in the 20th century), but the Chargers were unable to solve the many puzzles presented by the links style course. It seemed as if we had been thrust into a gale more typical of the British Open, and while the Pingree number one shot an astonishing three under par, the Chargers were led by number two Patrick Borques' 56. Referring to his ongoing battles with the three foot high rough, number six William Fitzgerald commented, "I've never met more annoying foliage."  This polite yet telling remark typifies the teams sportsmanlike attitude under extremely testing conditions.
