The CHCH golf team lost to Beaver Country Day School 0-6 on Monday at Putterham in Brookline. Playing without team number one Nate Friedman, and when two attempts at a replacement fell through, Chapel Hill sent only 5 players to the match and forfeited the number six spot. All charger players moved up one spot in the lineup, and as a result, each player competed against even stiffer competition than usual. Playing from the number two spot, freshman Peter Loar posted a team best 55, followed closely by his sophomore playing partner and number one for a day Patrick Borque, who shot a 56. Freshmen who perform better than sophomores like to let them know it, and this case was no exception. Patrick took the reminders in stride, and let it be known that tomorrow is always another day. A small sense of consolation was provided by a come from behind victory for the coach over his Beaver counterpart. Down one with two holes to play, a slippery three foot par putt on the ninth green sealed a 1 up victory for the oldest Charger.
