Another Short Squad Loss

A much reduced golf team travelled to Portsmouth Abbey on Saturday afternoon and lost 0-6, which included two forfeits. Playing their second straight week of four matches a week took its toll on the Chargers, who fielded only four players.  The team was led again by the ever resurgent Peter Wang, whose new driver continued to serve him well off the tee. He led the squad with a 55, while his playing partner Nate Friedman continued to struggle off the tee but shined in his short game. Sophomores Tim Noonan and William "Edmund" Fitzgerald showed flashes of great play, but it was not enough to slow the onslaught of the Portsmouth Abbey Ravens on the day before Halloween. Even with a full squad, could the Chargers win in Rhode Island?
