The CHCH golf team lost by a score of 1-5 to the Beaver JV squad on Wednesday in a match that was much closer than the score makes it appear. The highlight was yet another win by senior captain and number one player Max Allen, who beat the Beaver number one by a score of 2 and 1 on the 8th hole. This win extends Max's personal win streak to 5, and he remains undefeated for his career as a golfer at CHCH. Three of the other matches were decided on the last hole, with Peter Loar, Brendan Connolly, and Freshman Mark Nathin losing by one after their opponents sank winning putts. These extremely close matches bode well for our October rematch against Beaver at their home course. The Chargers next match takes place on Wednesday October 3 against Brimmer and May. With all the good play against Beaver, and considering that Brimmer did not field a golf team last season, all signs point to the Chargers winning their first match of the season
