Johnson Named 2023 Boys Lacrosse MBIL Co-MVP!

Congratulations to Jaylin Johnson (‘25) on being named the 2023 Boys Lacrosse Co-MVP of the Massachusetts Bay Independent League! Jaylin led the Chargers in goals, was second in assists, and posted 39 goals and 9 assists in 15 games (3.1 ppg). This included 16 goals and 5 assists in the 5 league games he played in (4.1ppg). He was often closely guarded by the other team, and he created offense for others by clearing space, securing possessions with a team-leading 83 ground balls, and often drawing double teams which created opportunities for the Chargers to score.

“Jaylin improved in every category this year and worked hard to be the best player on the most successful team. Coaching him is a true pleasure because he is constantly trying to improve his repertoire of skills and knowledge” - Coach MacPhail.

Jaylin was a team leader whose his passion and drive led the Chargers to a perfect 6-0 league record, an MBIL Championship, and an appearance in the McCoy Cup post-season tournament!

Congratulations, Jaylin!
