Johnson Named 2022 MBIL Boys Lacrosse MVP

Congratulations to Jaylin Johnson (‘25) on being named the 2022 Boys Lacrosse MVP of the Massachusetts Bay Independent League! In his first season as a Charger, Johnson led the team in goals, was second in assists, and posted a 24/7/31 point line for the season in only 9 games. He was often closely guarded by the other team, and he created offense for others by clearing space, securing possessions with 26 ground balls in league games, and often drawing double teams which created opportunities for the Chargers to score. One of Johnson’s many contributions to the team was his vocal leadership on and off the field, where his passion and drive helped push both himself and his teammates to reach their full potential throughout the season.

“Seeing Jaylin step into a huge role immediately and grow into a leader as well as a skilled player has been a joy as a coach. I’m proud of him and so excited to help him reach new heights next year.” - Coach MacPhail

Congratulations, Jaylin!
