Simonas G. ('26) Named 2026 MBIL Boys Basketball MVP
Congratulations to Simonas G. (‘26) on being named the 2026 Massachusetts Bay Independent League MVP! Simas has averaged 13.6 ppg, 7.4 rpg, and 2.7 apg over the course of the season. Coach Josh Bubar notes, “Simas is the engine that drives our offense with his ability to get to the paint and score or distribute the basketball, and everyone around him benefits from his gravity as a scorer. As a defender he can guard all five positions, and at 6'5" with good athleticism he provides rim protection in many situations. He is a consummate team player who gives advice to younger teammates, encourages a high level of effort in our group, and approaches practices and games with an invariably positive attitude.”
